Scientific Masonic Lodge, which meets in Cambridge, was delighted to donate £800 to the Blue Smile charity following a recent social dinner-dance held at Madingley Hall.

The high point of the evening was dance instructor Lesley Collier guiding keen couples in ballroom dancing, to the delight and entertainment of all. Lesley has been a supporter of Blue Smile for the past ten years and was pleased to attend the presentation.

Blue Smile provide specialist arts-based therapy and counselling in local schools, supporting children with mental ill health. On receiving the donation, Anne Kent Taylor, the charity director, said:

We are so grateful to receive this generous donation from Scientific Lodge, it will enable more children in Cambridgeshire primary schools’ access to specialist support, helping them come to terms with difficult experiences and feelings, enjoy happier childhoods and build brighter futures

The donation from Scientific Lodge was supported by match funded by the City & University of Cambridge Masonic Charitable Trust.
