The donation ensures each child receives a cuddly companion to provide comfort and support. The Masons recognise the refuge’s vital role in providing sanctuary and assistance to women and children escaping domestic violence and are committed to contributing positively to their wellbeing.

“We are delighted to support the Cambridge Women’s Aid with this donation,” said Tony Barrios the coordinator of the Teddy scheme within the Province “Our aim is to bring a little joy and comfort to the children who find themselves in challenging circumstances. We hope the teddy bears will provide a sense of security and warmth during their stay at the refuge.”

The Cambridge Women’s Aid expressed their gratitude for the generous donation, emphasising the impact such gestures have on the families they support.

A spokesperson for Cambridge Women’s Aid said:

We are incredibly thankful to the Cambridgeshire Masons for their thoughtful donation, these teddy bears will undoubtedly bring smiles to the faces of our young residents and provide them with much-needed comfort during a difficult period in their lives.

The Cambridgeshire Masons remain committed to supporting local communities through various charitable initiatives and partnerships. This donation is part of their ongoing effort to make a positive difference in the lives of those in need across Cambridgeshire.
