The local Freemasons have donated £4,000 to the Rosmini Centre Wisbech Foodbank this festive season. The donation was made possible through the collaboration of the Cambridgeshire Charity for Care and Relief and the Masonic Charitable Foundation. This marks the fourth consecutive year that Cambridgeshire Freemasons have supported local foodbanks.
The Rosmini Centre Wisbech, which plays a vital role in the local community, has been providing food and essential supplies to families facing hardship throughout the year. At Christmas time, this support becomes especially important as the local community faces additional pressures during the festive season.
Anita Grodkiewicz MBE, Centre Manager of the Rosmini Centre, expressed her gratitude for the Freemasons’ continued generosity:
We are so grateful to the Freemasons for their continued support. It means so much and makes a big difference.Their generosity will help a lot of people enjoy a bit of the Christmas spirit this year.
The donation was presented by Steven Napier, who was on hand to represent the Cambridgeshire Charity for Care and Relief. Steven commented,
We are very pleased to be making this donation on behalf of Cambridgeshire Freemasons, to support the very important work and services that the Trustees, Anita, and her team do in delivering food to the local community. This donation will go a long way in helping families enjoy a brighter Christmas.
The £4,000 contribution will help ensure that the Rosmini Centre can continue its mission of providing much-needed assistance to those in need, particularly at a time when the demand for food aid is at its highest. The partnership between the local Freemasons, the Cambridgeshire Charity for Care and Relief, and the Masonic Charitable Foundation highlights the core values community service that defines Freemasonry’s commitment to charitable causes.
