A great coffee morning at Cornwallis Court RMBI Care Home was sponsored by the brethren and their families from St Wendred Lodge, in Newmarket.

The Worshipful Master, W.Bro. Tom French, along with his wife Maria attended and presented a cheque for £500 to Roger Flory, Secretary to the Friends of Cornwallis Association, this was on behalf of Almoner W.Bro. Paul Pearson, who was sadly laid up at home following a knee operation.
The morning was filled with chatting to residents, coffee, cakes & biscuits, and a good old raffle. St. Wendred Bro. Brett and his wife Kate together with their son Cooper were also in attendance. Cooper on hand on the microphone to conduct the raffle draw, adding to the enjoyment and helping everything run smoothly. Their dog Charlie also came along, who kept an eye on proceedings whilst seeking out the odd biscuit or two from the residents.
Also representing St Wendred Lodge and supporting W.Bro French, were Bro. Mike Patterson with his wife Amanda and W.Bro. Mick Ross, they all enjoyed engaging in great conversation and helping to make it a thoroughly pleasant and sociable occasion for everyone involved, especially the residents of Cornwallis Court RMBI Care Home.
The Association of Friends sincerely thank St Wendred Lodge for their further generous donation, which will go towards making life more comfortable and enjoyable for the residents.
We welcome all lodges throughout Cambridge, Suffolk and Norfolk provinces to attend and sponsor a coffee morning, which are organised for families and relatives to visit relatives on the first Saturday morning of each month.
