Virtute et Fide Lodge No 7959

The Masonic Hall, Bateman St, Cambridge

The lodge was formed in 1964 by the staff and pupils of Cambridgeshire High School for Boys and membership was initially for masters and former pupils of the school. When the school became a sixth form college membership was opened up to anyone who wished to join, but the school is still honoured at our festive board.

The Lodge meets on a Friday in January, March, May, September and November.
The lodge has always been proud of its excellent masonic ritual which includes some unique elements and holds regular practice sessions to maintain those standards. We currently sponsor an annual prize, of a shield and bursary, to the pupil at the college who undertakes the most significant charitable activity during the academic year, in order maintain our links with the college. We are also part of the Federation of School Lodges.
We hold occasional social functions to help with charitable fund raising.
We welcome anyone who meets the criteria of being a mason, who will be an active contributor to the lodge. We would be particularly keen to have applicants who have an association with Hills Road Sixth Form College (or even the old Cambridgeshire High School for Boys).

If you are interested in joining the Lodge, or finding out more, please contact us.
