Stone Cross Lodge No 6704

The Masonic Hall, City Rd, March, Cambridgeshire

The Lodge was formed in 1948 and draws its membership from all professions and trades, mainly from March and the surrounding villages.

The Lodge has around 58 members, with a relatively young average age of membership, including active younger masons.
Fourth Friday from November to April, excluding December, and third Friday in September and October (Installation). Meetings normally begin at 18:00, except October when the start time is usually 17:00. There is an active Lodge of Instruction held on the second Monday of January to April and September to November, starting at 19:00.
Being vibrant, welcoming and inclusive, the Lodge ensures its new members are mentored and supported. Its members like to present a high standard of ritual but combine this with fun at our meals afterwards. Meeting on a Friday evening always boosts the attendance of masonic visitors to our premises, which have been thoroughly refurbished to a very high standard by local Masons.
With a range of social events, Stone Cross involves family and friends to make them feel part of the Lodge. It supports many charitable causes too, on both a local and national level.
Open to candidates from all faiths, occupations and ages who meet the criteria for membership and can regularly attend meetings in March on a Friday. Membership is a life choice, hopefully long term. The Lodge wants its new members to be happy, as well as the existing membership being happy with them. To this end we will provide opportunities for prospective members to meet a wide cross-section of the membership before the formal process of joining. The Lodge’s popularity ensures it attracts not only new candidates, but also joining members from other lodges.
